In this article, John's Hopkins approaches "vaccine hesitancy" with a model that they developed through their research on how to manipulate people into doing something they don't want to do. It discusses pivoting conversations to focus on fear, using presumptive communication, "trust through empathy" and "motivational interviewing" among other tactics to try to drive a conversation and push vaccines in doctors appointments. This not only is pure manipulation, but it's pressure coming from a doctor designed to focus on one goal, and that is NOT supporting the wishes of the patient.
